At the Educational Computing Organization of Ontario 2012 conference, Liz Anderson and I (James Bond) presented four Value Added Catalysts that allowed us to become an Accelerated Learning Community over four years.  We believe these four catalysts can be used from the classroom to the school to the system and beyond.  In our presentation, we clearly showed how these four catalysts connected to our Accelerated Learning Framework (http://acceleratedlearningframework.wordpress.com/).

Value Added Catalysts

These four V+ Catalysts made it possible to move from a traditional to a Digitally Rich Learning Community Without Limits.  They were identified through reflection on which activities or actions were value added (V+) and which were wasteful (W-).

4 Catalysts

The second catalyst is based on Michael Fullan’s first and second right drivers for change (http://www.michaelfullan.ca/media/13501740430.html).
